Rubie Casana: random thoughts and stuff…
In: Movies
9 May 2009Amazed with the first scene of the movie so my interest was caught to watch the whole thing. I also got curious with the genius Mathetician and the brilliant Physicist (‘m really interested with G people
).
When my friend told me the title of the movie, I didn’t really have the interest to watch ‘coz I thought it will be a harsh, and brutal movie (and I don’t really like those kind). But after seeing the first scene made me recall my Physics class – one of my favorite subject during high school and college, and gave me excitement watching it.
I admired Ishigami, the mathematician for devicing the alibi. He was able to create a perfect plot of events to make the police believe to the statement of Yasuko Hanaoka, the suspect.
I also like the approach of Yukawa in analyzing the case – his personal interest. He was able to bring out the real story behind the alibi.
Remembered thoughts and lines:
The four color map theorem, states that given any separation of a plane into contiguous regions, called amap, the regions can be colored using at most four colors so that no two adjacent regions have the same color.
“Solving the problem/case won’t make anyone happy”, Ishikami
“What is harder, formulate a problem that doesn’t exist or solve a problem that has a solution”, Yukawa
“Sometimes geometry …. are functions”, Ishikami/Yukawa
“He never cared about his look. He’s in love.”, Yukawa
“If he never felt love in his whole life, who could have taught him to. If he never felt love, he could have not done this mistake”, Yukawa
Suspect X is indeed a great movie. Amazing genius and brilliant people trying to explain everything through Mathematical expression and Scientific theory.
If you’re a fan of geniuses, try this one. It will be a nice watch!
An expression... a thought... a joy... a pain... a point of view... a shout... a whisper... an experience... an adventure.. a LIFE of a high spirited girl named Bhee :)
