ask ko lang po kung pwede pa po ba ako ulit kumuha ng nbi clearance?? kasi po last time kong kuha is nung june2010.. ang nangyari po nito ay nag-apply po ako ng work tpos kinuha po nila ang original copy ko pero hindi rin natagal ay nag-resign po ako sa una kong work then pangalawa din po nangyari nito ay nag-apply po ulit ako ng bagong work tapos ganun din po kinuha nila ang original copy ko po ng nbi clearance,yung personal copy ko na po iyon… favor lang po!! kung pwede ba ulit ako mag-renew kahit wala pa po isang taon ang nakalipas???

I had the opportunity of securing my NBI Clearance about a week ago. I lost my original certificate so I had to apply for a new one, instead of just renewing it. I arrived at the NBI-Victory Central Mall branch at around 6:30am, thinking I’d be the first in line. Unfortunately, there were already a lot of people lined up. There were five (5) lines to be exact.

Two (2) lines for New Applications and another two (2) for the Renewal. Then there was another line in the middle. The folks who lined up there were already starting their day with Step 2. It was the line for Payment. Somehow they weren’t able to pay the other day so they had to come back the next day.

I was thinking that accomplishing the clearance would be difficult. However, I was wrong. The process was definitely easier and faster this time. Except for the twenty (20) wasted minutes of waiting for the cashier’s computers to reboot, which I experienced.

Anyway, I got my clearance in less than an hour. However, it all depends on how many people are lining in front of you, and if your name is unique and you don’t have a hit. When they tell you that you have a hit or With Hit, it means that another person in their database has the exact same name as yours and that this person has a criminal record.

I want to share these learned facts:

1. Don’t buy fake Community Tax Certificates (sedula), you don’t need it for the NBI Clearance. Don’t believe the vendors outside of the NBI Clearance center telling you that you need it. YOU DON’T NEED IT FOR THE NBI CLEARANCE APPLICATION.

2. For Renewals – make sure that you bring your old NBI Clearance, and that it should be READABLE. If it’s all torn up, you would have to apply for a New NBI Clearance.

3. For New Applications – don’t forget to bring all your valid I.D.s. They will keep you out if you don’t have at least two to show them. Call the NBI or check out their website for the official list of valid I.D.s

4. Complete the application form. After putting all your information, double check the form to see if you miss something. If you’re not sure on how to answer a certain query, don’t hesitate to ask an NBI Personnel. You can distinguish them because they all have NBI I.D.s hanging on their shirts.

5. You need to wear decent clothes and shoes. They will not allow you inside if you are wearing shorts and slippers. (Same policy with other government agencies)

6. It wouldn’t hurt if you brought an exact amount for payment with you. This speeds up the process. Sometimes, they also ask for applicants who have an exact amount and make you line up and pay to a newly opened cashier or to their express payment kiosks.

7. Lastly, it’s always better to go there early in the morning. The earlier you line up, the soonest you can finish. Then, you’ll have more time for other tasks set for the day.

Replies, hope these would help:

@Judith S. Zenarosa The NBI Clearance for Local Employment is different from the NBI Clearance for Travel Abroad. Your child needs to secure another NBI Clearance. Make sure to bring to make him/her bring the original copy of the NBI Clearance and at least one valid ID. These are enough to secure a renewal. However, Travel Abroad must be indicated in the application.

@Mary Grace You can just renew it, as long as you have the original owner’s copy of your last NBI Clearance. They now have kiosks which are for Renewal Purposes Only.

@Cesar F. Verano I think you may renew your NBI Clearance anytime, as long you have the proper requirements including a completely filled out application form. They give forms upon entering the center. Try going to Victory Central Mall.

good day. i am currently abroad and i would like to renew my NBI clearance. i am planning to authorize a relative to transact it for me. i have read and understood the instructions to do such. i am just not very clear about two things:

1) WILL THE RENEWED CLEARANCE CONTAIN MY THUMBRPINT (scanned)? OR WILL IT BE LEFT BLANK (so I can do it myself when I receive it?)

2) I WILL NEED IT AUTHORIZED BY THE DFA, (attach red ribbon and seal). WILL DFA AUTHORIZE MY NBI CLEARANCE (if) WITHOUT MY THUMBPRINT ON IT?

I have been with some areas of your satellite branches just to secure a NBI clearance as one of the requirements of the company I will be working starting Aug. 1. My problem is I’m having a hard time securing one due to long line and some of your applicants are already there at 1am just to secure a number. As a working mom I could not go there that early, could you not give us a better solution to secure a fast NBI clearance.

@rio – you mean parang nawalan ng silbi ang NBI renewal card? if that’s the case, hindi ko tuloy alam kung kukuha pa ba ako ng NBI renewal card na yan..

Ang hirap naman ng ginawa ng NBI ngayon.
1. wala man lang advisory from the kumalat na renewal kiosks na lahat ng ating NBI transactions ay doon na sa NBI Taft (Main) maa-accomplish, renewal man o new application.

2. since walang advisory, walang information na pansamantala lang aalisin ang mga kiosks o talagang tuluyan nang sa Taft na makakakuha ng NBI clearance.

3. wala na ngang advisory, sana 1 month bago man lang nila ni-close yung NBI kiosk sa Megamall ay nagpa-circular sila na ico-close ang kiosk o nagpa-advosiry man lang na ganun mangyayari.

4. sana pati sa website nakalagay din kung may silbi pa ba ang NBI renewal card.

5. Ang mahal po ng pamasahe!!!! Makapag renew lang ng NBI…

7 days lang po talaga pag namesake, sa regional? Ba’t dito po sa NBI-Baguio hintay daw po ako ng 1 month bago i-release NBI clearance ko eh mag-aapply na sana ako ng work. Kelangan naman nila NBI clearance sa work ko bago daw yung job offer.

Hi Bieverly, sabi ng isang friend ko, kung hindi daw “hit” ‘yong name mo, same day (sa NBI head office) makukuha mo na yong NBI clearance mo. Kung HIT ka, 1-2 weeks pa muna bago ma-release.

Hi! I have applied for an NBI clearance last April, but I have namesake so it was said to be subject for further verification and was told to go back after 7 days or 1 week. When I went back a week after, the Mandaluyong Branch were having system issues and everyone else were sent off. As you can see, with my line of work as a Call center Agent working in Graveyard I dont have all the time in the world to follow up on this. When I went back to Mandaluyong branch few months after, with the RECEIPT as a proof that I paid already for the NBI CLEARANCE i was applying for, this staff told me that if NBI CLEARANCE is unclaimed after it has been released, they could only allow 1 month to claim it, otherwise we will have to undergo the whole process and the worse thing is we are REQUIRED to pay the SAME AMOUNT. Pls give assistance on this. I will understand if we will have to go through the whole process of the application but I dont see the point why we have to pay for another FEE??? Thank you.

Daig naman niyan ang pagkuha ng SSS id sa tagal. Baka ang ginagawa ay pinapadala sa Manila branch then ibabalik dyan sa inyo kaya matagal pero ang OA ng 3 months.

Sa Manila kasi same day makukuha mo, hihintayin mo lang.

mam, sir ask ko lang po pede po b uli akong kumuha ng NBI kahit n kakuha n ako kc po nag apply ako sa lucena city kaso po matagal ang realesed almost 4 week bago ko makuha kaylangan ko n po kc ung nbi clearance ko balak ko snang pumunta jan sa main office para madali ako makakuha ok lang po ba n kumuha ako uli ng bago

last August 2011, i was ‘HIT’ upon taking NBI clearance, I am aware that I had been previous case (falsification of private documents and qualified theft) pending before MTC caloocan , that was 2008. I want to work to raise money just to settle my obligation where I am planning to go in singapore this year can immigration from Philippines and singapore or employer from singapore can trace my record from NBI.

also scare going to NBI might they arrest me.
