It was a super fun Saturday night because we had a chance to hang out again at the Mall of Asia San Miguel by the Bay. We were there for two reasons (1) Celebrate Bryan’s birthday and (2) Experience to ride The MOA’s Eye - ”the tallest and biggest ferris wheel in the Philippines!” aka observation wheel.

Looking at it’s structure made me wonder how much is the development cost and how long is the ROI (lol, the business-side).

Each gandola can accommodate up to six(6) passengers (minimum of 4). With two other guys (Sir Shirley and ?, can’t remember), we took the ride. The gandolas are air-conditioned and little you would feel the motion that you are going up in a circular manner.

Up the wheel you will the MOA structure, the nearby hotels and of course the classic Manila Bay. It amazed me to see the whole thing and I wished to stay up a little longer. It would be great to take long exposure photographs.

The ride took ten(10) minutes until it can complete a single round. Unfortunately, the Php150 ticket will only allow one round. I wish that management will change it to at least twice to make the experience even more worth it.

Colorful dancing lights accompanied with chosen Christmas songs makes anyone passing the Ayala Triangle feel that Christmas is in the air.

Buses are fully loaded yesterday so I decided to stand by for a while along Ayala Avenue to see the talk-of-the-town dancing lights in the area. It’s a wonderful creation of thousands of lights, creatively combined colors to sway with the Christmas music. Watching it in a more or less 50meters distance really entertained and I want to see it closer.

I really want to take a photo of this and will definitely be back to take one. Do you like lights? Drop by and see, you’ll be amazed.

Kudos to the creator. You are amazing.

Wall-E, a movie review

Wall-eee…..Eve….Eve…..

It’s Sunday – it’s time to rest, relax and have fun after a very stressful week. Vin asked me to hang-out and enjoy the weekend, take time unwind ‘coz the next is a holiday (thanks to the one who assassinated Ninoy! peace out!).

We had bowling and watched Wall-E afterwards. I didn’t have any idea what’s the movie is all about sinceÂ I didn’t have time to browse it over the net (so busy…haayyzzz…) All I know is, it’s an animation created by Pixar and Walt Disney.

Here it goes (Synopsis taken from clickthecity.com),

What if mankind had to leave Earth, and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off? Academy AwardÂ®-winning writer-director Andrew Stanton (”Finding Nemo”) and the inventive storytellers and technical geniuses at Pixar Animation Studios (”The Incredibles,” “Cars,” “Ratatouille”) transport moviegoers to a galaxy not so very far away for a new computer-animated cosmic comedy about a determined robot named WALL-E. The movie,Â very good plot, a sci-fi yet, it can be a reality in the future. It is a call for us to protect our environment particularly in waste management. It’s about time for us to act on it. I just can’t imagine life if it goes that way. I don’t want to see our Mother Earth covered with Garbage.

The characters, three characters in the movie that I will never forget, WALL-E, for being organized, patient, and determined; EVE, for being committed in her mission and the Captain of Axiom for being possessive to go back to earth and plant.

The animation, yeah…being a techy person of course animation always catch my attention. It was very finely made, fairly creative and widely imagined. I never got bored with effects and design.

All in all, the movie is great! Another wonderful creation of Pixar. It was fun watching!
