I attended the recently held PHP Summit 2010 at Rembrandt Hotel, Tomas Morato. I never expected that the crowd is as big as it was. I’m glad to have a chance to learn about PHP and ASP.Net Interoperability and Website Scalability.

I also had a good time with my team mates Gibelle and Jeru and happy to meet a friend from Cebu, Raymond.

Congrats to the PHPUG especially to the volunteers for making the event a success.

boss resignation + Dad passed away + project deadlines = TOUGH WEEK

It was a tough week. After my dear boss left, my best Dad’s burial, stress and pressures around I didn’t have a choice. I have to go back to work and take over with the responsibilities.

New responsibilities, more expectations, greater accountability.

I am expected to:

Delegate effectively

Retain talent in your team

Grow knowledge and capacity/capability of team

Assistance in completing/winning new accounts

Grow project management knowledge

Expand general knowledge

Help in making sure that existing clients are satisfied

…and more, more expectations for myself and by the company.
…plus back logs and other development works.

Project Manager – a very challenging role for a high-spirited, young lady starting to explore the world. A dream came true, maybe too soon; but it just came right in time to keep improving and keep moving forward.

delegate…code…review…coordinate…meet…debug…wbs…report…

This is just the first week. More challenges, more tasks, more projects to come!
