I had a pre-selling presentation this morning, on-going project discussion in the afternoon, shortly attended social media forum and picked up my at the bus terminal. Really tired. I should be resting, but I feel like writing. It’s been a long time since my last blog post. I didn’t even have time to write my Anawangin getaway experience. Read the rest of this entry »

To laugh often and much;

To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;

To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;

To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;

To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;

To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded.

I attended the recently held PHP Summit 2010 at Rembrandt Hotel, Tomas Morato. I never expected that the crowd is as big as it was. I’m glad to have a chance to learn about PHP and ASP.Net Interoperability and Website Scalability.

I also had a good time with my team mates Gibelle and Jeru and happy to meet a friend from Cebu, Raymond.

Congrats to the PHPUG especially to the volunteers for making the event a success.

People just come and go in our life. They started as strangers; then they become acquaintances; later on a friendship is developed and intimate relationship starts. These relationships are formed and nurtured in school, at work, social gatherings, in our community, and even at home. Read the rest of this entry »

Fasting? Yes! You’ve read it right. This is my first time to join this annual 7 days of prayer and fasting at VCF.

Why am I doing this? Here are few  of the reasons:

  • Just needed some answers from God on what he wants me to do on some personal things in my life.
  • I need physical and inner healing.
  • I need to ask Him some favors on my plans and dreams.
  • I am also praying for strength and wisdom to be able to handle the responsibilities left to me.

I won’t be very specific here. I reserve some things just between me and the Lord. If there are also things that you’ve been hoping and prayer for, please join me not maybe in fasting but in prayer. Let us claim that this year, greater things are yet to come and this year will be a good year for all of us.

Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do AMAZING things among you. –Joshua 3:5

2009 is almost over.  I just thought of writing important things that happened in my life for the whole year.
  • January
    • The most bountiful New Year celebration at home
    • Last New Year celebration with Daddy
    • My role at work becomes Team Lead
    • Started to attend Sunday Worship @VCF Greenhills Read the rest of this entry »

“…it makes me think”, this is my today’s shout out because some people keeps making me think. Then after a good conversation with my boss over lunch, I updated my shout and added “…and I need to think more”.

So what’s the connection of this thought in our life’s choices? I was just delighted with the discussion with my boss and just realized that what happens in our life is always a matter of choice. Either we choose to be the BEST, to be MEDIOCRE or to be the WORST.

If we choose to be the best, we live a life with positive outlook and produce good results. We can inspire other people to also bring out the best in them. We can influence them to think positively as we do. We excel in our endeavors, we grow, we SUCCEED. Read the rest of this entry »

The last few weeks, I had chances of meeting with several business-minded people – clients, future clients, future business partners, and the like. I was so amazed on how they think, how they look at things, and how they see business opportunities in every life’s circumstance.  I admire how they plan and how they find people to make their plans work and most importantly on how they act on their plans – their attitude, their courage, their perseverance, their way of thinking. Our HR officer conducted a training, “One Minute Manager” last Monday to the managers in our company. The training is based on the book One Minute Manager by Kenneth Blanchard. We discussed the three secrets of a One Minute Manager which are:

  • One Minute Goal Setting
  • One Minute Praising
  • One Minute Reprimand

To apply the concept of one-minute goal setting, we were asked to write our goals in less than 250 words. Three things first popped in my mind.

  1. To achieve
  2. To be rich
  3. To be happy Read the rest of this entry »
