I was privileged to attend The Need to Succeed event at Victory Greenhills last April, 11, 18, and 25. It was another mind-disturbing seminar for me. The principles and teachings to succeed are not new, yet I normally forget to apply them. As I grow older and as I hear them more often in various seminars, the message makes more sense to me.

Few important things that I learned from Ardy Abello, Chinkee Tan, Ptr. Jayson Lo – the speakers and God keeps on reminding me since I attended are:

“Success is 10% skill and 90% character”

“Success is good if it doesn’t reach your head, the same with failure to your heart.”

”Success is attaining your goal without sacrificing your role”

Success = Patience + Persistence + Prayer

FEAR = False Expectation Appearing Real

15 minutes a day can change your life

To be successful, be unique. How to be unique?
1. Work hard
2. Fail Often
3. Be you!

God wants us to succeed. The Bible said, ”The Lord… has pleasure in [our] prosperity.” Psalm 35:27

Disturbed, I am really disturbed and I could say, Ptr. Chinkee is very successful in his seminar because he really disturbed my mind – not only financially but my whole being (you might not believe me, but it’s true).

I just want to share some random thoughts that I learned:

“Our money mindset determines our financial life”

“Being sincere in doing things isn’t enough because sometimes what we are doing is sincerely lie”

“Good Mindset + Good Actions = Good Results”

“What you believe in life becomes truth”

…and the most important thing

“I deserve to become RICH”

…and soon in time, I’ll become rich.

And I’ll be learning and sharing more as I read on his book and know the secrets of the rich.

It was really worth it attending the seminar. I was urged to save, to change some habits, and to evaluate how I spend my money and my time. Now I got a better understanding why do I keep doing some things, why do I believe this and that and why do I react this way.

So thanks to Ptr. Jayson Lo for inviting me and for my friend who attended the seminar with me. It was indeed a wonderful time learn and start a better financial life.

So if you want to know the secrets of the rich, grab a copy of Chinkee Tans’ For Richer and For Poorer book at National Book Store.
